Kya reeti riwaz, jaati dharm hi hai sabse ehem
kyon insaniyat nahi ban paaya kabhi ek dharm

pravalit hai har mazhab mein amaanveeya riwaaz
jin par nahi uthaye gaye the itne din awaaz

aaj agar ladh rahe hai wo paane apna haq
kyon nahi ban pa raha hai har koi unka samarthak

azaad desh mein rehti hoon, rehti hai har ladki is fareb ke saath
reeti yaad dilaye use, jakade hai maine tere haath

aurat ko maan kar lachaar, aaj bhi triple talaq ko maante hai hum mahaan
koi kanoon nahi rok paaya hume, hum toh aaj bhi dete hai dahej ki reeti ko maan

ye toh hue kuch hi udaharan
agar karte rahe inki baat, toh kai kisse aayenge hume smaran

agar in reeti riwazon ke pare insaan apnalega, insaaniyat ko apna dharm
maan lenge unnati ki taraf sab saath mil badha rahe hai hum kadam

This week has been quite a question on humanity, with the triple talaq bill in the LokSabha. Well yes, there were a few opposed the passage of the bill in the name of religion, and few others claiming to support the bill but deviating from the very fact and arguing that women need to be made aware of the endemics prevailing so that they dont think of divorce. Dint actually understand what the MP was actually trying to say........

There was other similar incident in the week on the occasion of Mukkoti Ekadasi. A visit to a temple made me feel, why had i been there. An old was working as a domestic help in the temple to make her ends meet. A renowed pantulu or achary what ever name we may call, asked her to get oil to light the diya. Once she was back he immediately asked her to get karpoor. When she reverted to it, his comment was "You are paid to do it"... Is money everything.....

Humanity has been dying a death everyday in some form or the other and we are still fighting for religion?????  Is religion above humanity and mutual respect in any case????

That day.. the only wish I made... "Let humanity prevail and let people get some sense this new year, that no religion is above humanity..."
